How to Care for Your DHaRCO Rain Jacket

Keep your jacket performing at its best — and the rain rolling right off — with a little regular care.

1. Wash it, don’t baby it.

Dirt and sweat can block the fabric’s breathability and stop water from beading. Wash your jacket every 10–15 wears or whenever it starts to “wet out.”

Close all zips and Velcro.
Use a gentle cycle in cold or warm water (max 30°C).
Use a mild, technical detergent made for waterproof or breathable fabrics.
Avoid regular detergents, bleach, or fabric softeners — they strip the DWR coating.

2. Reactivate the water repellency.

After washing, tumble dry on low to medium heat for 15–20 minutes. A bit of heat helps reactivate the Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish that makes water bead and roll off.

No dryer? You can also iron on low heat (no steam), using a towel between the iron and the fabric.

Good quality and nice fit

Very happy with this. I had to size up one to get a proper fit, especially if i am wearing layers underneath. Only downside is no air vents and the colours are a bit bland considering the other clothes in the Dharco range.

Rain Jacket Durability

These jackets are amazing quality. First time using the jacket i managed to have a crash an d slide across cobble stone. I had a look at the jacked that night and there was not a single mark in the material.

Have tried a number of rain jackets over the years to use in rain when mountain biking. This is the first jacket which actually breathes.

Where other rain jackets feel like a trash bag/poncho, the DHaRCO Rain Jacket has an excellent fit that keeps me warm and dry on the rainiest of PNW rides, and while breathing enough where I don’t get overheated and sweaty with it on. Ideal for rainy rides or colder rides where you might want a light layer.

Intelligent design

Someone really thought about this jacket, it’s a balanced mix of quality workmanship, high-performance materials, and considered utility; so obviously designed by mountain bikers for mountain bikers - couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Oh, and yes, the service from the the DHarCHO team was second to none.

Great Jacket to Ride in

Excellent weatherproof jacket that is light and comfortable. Easy to wear without restricting your flexibility to ride. Beaths well and doesn't make you too sweaty. A definite must when hitting the trails on a wet or muddy day.

great jacket! sizing is way off

Love the quality and style of this piece but sizing doesn’t fit me so well…I typically where a large in most brands (Fox, Troy Lee, etc.) Had to return and get a XXL and it’s still snug in the armpits, other than that, highly recommend! for reference, I’m 5’8” 200lbs, 46” chest.

Nice Jacket

Very difficult to find pocket zipper pulls, especially with gloves on as they are missing lanyards. I feel a jacket of this price should have them.
Installed some on all 3 zipper pulls from an old jacket I had and now it's way more user friendly.

Jacket order

On time and took it to Derby TAS expecting rain, but didn’t get to use it. Starting a rain dance so I can use this great looking jacket.

Does The Job!
